Weigh in report

I weighed in last night. Only 1/2 pound loss. I was hoping for more. I had such a great loss last week. 4 1/2 pounds. I guess I shouldn't look for those bigger numbers every week. Have you ever made a graph of your weight loss progress? I have been doing that for my TOPS group. There is something to be said about seeing it in black and white over a period of time. I have not been happy with my own progress, but hopefully I am back on track with portion control and journaling. I need to get back to the gym. I missed all last week because of the little guy visiting., but I can't use that as an excuse this week. Fri is my gym day, so my goal is to get back there tomorrow. I have a big Stamp Class to get ready for on Sat, but I am going to make sure I take the time to go to the gym. Have great day everyone, and keep smiling. :)

Weigh in report

I lost 2.25 pounds this week. I had a good week of recording everything and of getting exercise in. I love the calorie counter It has made this process so much easier. I have always been more successful if I track what I eat. This makes it fun too!

We had to cancel our regualr TOPS meeting last night. We only did a weigh in, because we had so many absences that the three of us who did come decided to just have it a weigh in meeting.
I am off to Curves and then taking a walk in the park. it is a beautful day here in the Mountians. Have a great day everyone.

Red Face Confession :(

I am red faced this week ( THREE AND A QUARTER POUND GAIN!). Not a very good example to my TOPS group I am afraid.

My birthday was this past weekend. My children suprised me with a visit (my DS from Rochester NY and my DD and family from Columbia SC). Imagine my shock when I came home from shopping and even though there were no cars at my house, when I opened the door my house was full of my family. I was in total shock and so pleased to have them all there at the same time. It was an absolute blessing. To top that my DH gave me a surprise birthday party on Sunday with my friends here in NC. It was the best birthday ever. Hard to believe that I am in to the next decade of my life. My wonderful daughter brought all the food for the weekend and my dear friend helped my DH get the party all together. I didn't have to do anything, I was totally spoiled and I loved every minute of it.
I ate everything all weekend and basically didn't even think about making better choices. When I weighed in on Wed. I knew there would be a gain , but wow 3.25 pounds in one week.

Time to regroup and get serious. I have a friend here who is going to join me in this latest new effort to get the weight down. We are going to count points together and keep each other accountable for the points and the visits to the gym or in my case Curves. I plan on starting tomorrow, today is my get ready day. As always I will keep you all posted.

Weigh in report

Just letting you know that I did weigh in and lost the pound I had gained last week. I am reading a good book now on Shrinking Yourself. I am trying to get to the reason why I eat beyond the hunger, instead of the hunger etc. So far it has been very interesting. I don't want to bore you with a day byday report on what I read, so as I find things that I think will be helpful, I will pass them along. the book is called "Shrinking Yourself (break free from emotional eating forever! the therapist's guide to losing weight) by Roger Gould, MD

Weigh In Results

Weighed in last night = lost 1 pound.
I was happy with that as I didn't feel I worked very hard. I missed two of my days at Curves. I had a really busy day yesterday with meetings and my Volunteer work @ the library, Hospice and TOPS. I went to Curves after my TOPS meeting. I wasn't going to miss another day. I have been trying to figure out how to use this blog to help me on this weight loss journey. I know I need to journal what I eat and how much I exercise. I have always done better when I do keep a food chart. I think what I will do is write everything down throughout the day on the food chart I get at TOPS and then report it on here at night an long with the number of miles I walk on my pedometer. I wear my pedometer on my shoe. It is a constant reminder to me to keep moving throughout the day. I get some strange looks and questions when people see it, but that's OK.
My goals for today are:
Keep a food chart
Take a walk
Not to eat after 8PM (Bob Green suggests this in all his diet books)
